Bulldogs Fear Worst, Nelson's Career Over Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025 The baseball career of 19-year-old Bulldogs right fielder Patrick Nelson took a grim turn in today's game against Virginia at Ballpark of Redwood College. Nelson sustained a career-ending injury during the game making a defensive play. He suffered a torn labrum. Specialists at the local hospital confirmed what the team doctors already suspected -- that he would no longer be able to play. Nelson is presently hitting at a .256 pace with 9 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 44 games and scored 28 times. |
