Flores Extends Hit Streak to 30 Games
Saturday, April 19th, 2025
Washington State's 18-year-old third baseman Ángel Flores has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 30 games now. Today Flores extended the streak by going 1-for-2 against Golden Eagles pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Flores always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Cougars 3-0 triumph over South Mississippi at Tribe Ballpark he downplayed his part in the victory. Ángel Flores walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
So far this season Flores has hit .416 with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and and scored 30 times.
