Great Stroke: MacCorkle Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 Who needs batting practice? Tony MacCorkle of South Mississippi apparently doesn't as he battered Ole Miss with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 11-6 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Tony MacCorkle singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year MacCorkle has 4 home runs and a .314 batting average. |
