Tate Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Friday, April 11th, 2025 Everyone in Oklahoma State is getting excited about Carl Tate's hitting streak. The 19-year-old catcher extended it today to 20 games with 1 hit against Vanderbilt. The Cowboys took the Commodores 4-2. Carl Tate walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jon Green in the 9th. Tate is hitting .358 for the season with 11 home runs, 30 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 49 hits in 137 at-bats and played in 34 games. |
