Davis Socks it to Ragin Cajuns, Cracks 5 Hits Saturday, April 5th, 2025 No matter what the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns threw at him today, Nick Davis hit it. He easily handled Ragin Cajuns pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Owls to a 12-7 triumph at Toughkenamon College Fields. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Louisiana-Layfayette skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Nick Davis struck out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Steve Collins in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. A look at his season totals shows Davis with 8 home runs, .267 BA, .364 OBP, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored. |
