Moran Swats 3 HR Against Auburn Friday, March 21st, 2025 Regardless of where you stand on the "hardest thing to do in sports" argument, one thing everyone can agree on, is that hitting three home runs in one game is quite an amazing feat. That's exactly what Nick Moran did today at Zodiac Ballpark. He went deep three times and carried his team to victory in the Clemson Tigers 12-3 win over Auburn. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Moran said. "Good things happen, when that happens." He blistered the Tigers for 5 hits, batted in 5 runs and scored 3 times. The Auburn skipper said, "It ain't like we weren't trying. He was hot and really torched my boys today." Nick Moran hit a solo-shot off Stanley O'Dell in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Mark Meadows in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th. Thus far this year Moran has hit .387 with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs. |
