Tigers-Cavaliers Fight Nets 4-Game Suspensions Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 Yesterday at Zodiac Ballpark Vincente Rosa and Mike Taylor got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Auburn Tigers and Virginia Cavaliers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified both ballclubs that Rosa and Taylor would be given 4-game suspensions for fighting. Looking at his season stats, Rosa has compiled a .232 batting average and a .348 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 9 runs. |
