Kelly Hits for Cycle Against Tennessee Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 "To hit for the cycle" is one of the rarest of feats in a baseball game. This occurs when a player hits a single, double, triple and home run in the same game, getting every type of hit possible. Victor Kelly grabbed a piece of baseball history today when he hit for the cycle. Kelly went 4 for 5 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored against Tennessee, leading the South Carolina Gamecocks to a 5-3 win at Madera College Grounds. "I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," Kelly said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me. The ball seemed that big to me. And it just floated in." Victor Kelly singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sam Dean in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. |
