Mississippi State's Morán Takes 2024 Silver Slugger Award Friday, May 17th, 2024 Cristo Morán of the Mississippi State Bulldogs had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Silver Slugger Award for 2024. The 21-year-old catcher put up a .337 average and a .431 on-base percentage, piling up 57 hits, 8 doubles, no triples, 20 home runs, 49 RBIs and 38 runs scored. Roger Schäfer of the Ole Miss Rebels finished second in voting, while Stanley Comiskey of the UCLA Bruins finished third. |
