Golden Eagles Reliever Sánchez Hurt Friday, April 19th, 2024 Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Golden Eagles when after today's game against the Cougars, the club found out they would be without the services of Fernando Sánchez for at least 6 months. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Sánchez was injured earlier today throwing a pitch and suffered a torn back muscle. This season he has made 17 relief appearances, collecting 1 save. Sánchez has worked 25.1 innings, yielding 33 hits and giving out 27 free passes while striking out 26.
