North Carolina's Santos Suspended 4 Games Saturday, April 6th, 2024 North Carolina left fielder José Santos was ejected in the game between the Tar Heels and Demon Deacans for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Santos was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Santos said in the locker room after the game. Now Santos must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Santos has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 4 games." So far this year Santos is batting .302 with 8 home runs. |
