Great Day for Hairston -- 5 Hits Saturday, April 6th, 2024 Ashton Hairston really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Pit Vipers Ballpark, the Georgia center fielder blistered the Indiana State Sycamores for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a 8-5 victory. "Hairston was too tough to get out today," the Sycamores skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Ashton Hairston singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year Hairston is batting .302 with 35 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 18 times and driven in 15. |
