Big Day for Torres: Swats 5 Hits Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 It was an almost perfect day for Jesús Torres today at Cypress Quarters College Grounds. The Demon Deacans center fielder was sensational at the plate with 5 base hits in 5 tries, it just wasn't enough to beat the Tennessee Volunteers. They spoiled his great day with a 8-5 win over Wake Forest. Jesús Torres tripled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Torres is batting .242 with 16 hits, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs, 6 walks, .301 OBP and has scored 10 runs. He has played in 22 games. |
