Star of the Week Named in RDL Monday, March 25th, 2024 So far in his young career, Martín Hernández has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Rod Dedeaux League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old South Mississippi Golden Eagles center fielder hit at a torrid .480 clip as he collected 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. So far this season Hernández is batting .375 with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 48 at-bats, 17 walks and a .552 OBP. Hernández has played in 14 games. |
