Super Swinger -- Jackson Slams 5 Hits Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 Bruce Jackson put on a hitting clinic today as the Titans dumped the Rebels 14-10 at Hartford College Grounds. The Cal State Fullerton first baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Ole Miss pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Bruce Jackson struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Puckett in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, singled in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 12th. Jackson is batting .359 this year with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 14 hits in 39 at-bats. |
