Fitzgerald Honored, 2023 SBL Silver Slugger Award Monday, May 22nd, 2023 Michael Fitzgerald of the Vanderbilt Commodores had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Silver Slugger Award for 2023. The 20-year-old left fielder put up a .372 average and a .427 on-base percentage, piling up 71 hits, 10 doubles, 1 triple, 21 home runs, 54 RBIs and 38 runs scored.Jorge Soriano of the Oklahoma State Cowboys finished second in voting, while Joham Espinheira of the Florida State Seminoles finished third. |
