Butler Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games

The red-hot hitting Jack Butler is riding high with a 20-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 20-year-old Fresno State catcher continued the streak today at Nesquehoning College Fields with 1 hit in 3 at-bats as the Bulldogs got the best of the USC Trojans 16-6.
"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Fresno State, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Jack Butler struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
This year Butler is hitting .325 with 3 home runs and 19 RBIs in 33 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .428 with 23 walks and 20 runs scored.
