League Suspends Green Wave Aranda for Drug Violation Monday, March 13th, 2023 Alonso Aranda, starting pitcher of the Tulane Green Wave, has received a 80-game suspension from the league for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the sport's drug prevention and treatment program. Aranda, in a statement, said any use of banned substances was for medical reasons. "I want to make it known that I did not use any banned substances in order to gain a competitive advantage," Aranda said. "I took substances that were prescribed for me by a doctor." In the statement, Aranda said he stopped taking the prescribed substances once he was healed of the ailment. |
