League Suspends Auburn's Hernández Sunday, March 12th, 2023 Auburn's Edgar Hernández has been given a 3-game suspension for his outburst following an ejection in a recent game with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Zodiac Ballpark. He was called out on a third strike by the plate umpire and halted the game to argue about it. The disgusted Hernández slowly walked back to the dugout with bat in hand, but suddenly turned around and headed toward the umpire. He was stopped by the on-deck hitter and third base coach as his manager continued to argue the call. A moment later, Hernández was ejected. This year Hernández has hit at a .421 pace and produced 8 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 4 runs. |
