Swinney Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 Cal State Fullerton's 19-year-old second baseman Eric Swinney has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 20 games now. Today Swinney extended the streak by going 1-4 against Cougars pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Swinney always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Titans 3-1 triumph over Washington State at Tribe Ballpark he downplayed his part in the victory. Eric Swinney flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. |
