2022 SBL Best Batter, Vanderbilt's Fitzgerald Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 Michael Fitzgerald of the Vanderbilt Commodores had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Silver Slugger Award for 2022. The 19-year-old second baseman put up a .384 average and a .485 on-base percentage, piling up 71 hits, 12 doubles, no triples, 16 home runs, 55 RBIs and 46 runs scored.Alfredo Álvarez of the Clemson Tigers finished second in voting, while Phillip Lewis of the Florida Gators finished third. |
