Davidson Belts 3 HRs Sunday, April 24th, 2022 Fireworks exploded with regularity in the Aggies-Rebels game, but it wasn't a match that set them off -- it was the bat of Joe Davidson. He belted 3 home runs in an awesome display of sheer power. In the 14-5 Texas A&M victory Davidson stunned the Rebels pitching staff for 3 hits in 3 at-bats and knocked in 7 runs. After the game, Davidson said simply, "I saw everything they threw at me. Hitting was a piece of cake today... with lots of extra icing on it." Joe Davidson hit a two-run home run off Esteban Madrid in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Esteban Madrid in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rusty Carter in the 6th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 8th. For the season Davidson is currently batting .264 with 5 home runs and 21 RBIs. In 38 games he has reached base at a .350 rate and scored 24 runs to date. |
