Great Stroke: Davis Gets 5 Hits Friday, April 22nd, 2022 The South Illinois Salukis swept past the Ohio State Buckeyes 10-2 today at Ballpark of Bloomfield College and were paced by right fielder Mark Davis. The 19-year-old Davis got 5 hits in 6 at-bats, helping to send Ohio State down to defeat. Mark Davis singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off José Ferrer in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Davis has hit at a .273 pace and produced 28 RBIs, 14 home runs and scored 29 runs. |
