3-HR Day for Flores Thursday, April 7th, 2022 Oregon third baseman Roberto Flores sensed he was going to have a good game at the plate, but he underestimated just a little bit. Prior to the game, Flores predicted he would hit a home run against the Cal State Fullerton Titans. During batting practice he told his teammates, "I really got my swing down pat. I feel some thunder in the lumber. I'm gonna get me a home run in this game." He was right. He did hit a home run -- three of them, in fact -- pacing the Ducks over the Titans 9-7. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Flores told reporters after the game. To go along with the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Roberto Flores grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Alberto Gómez in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Alberto Gómez in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Ramón Robles in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This season Flores is hitting .311 with 9 home runs. |
