Gibson Earns SBL Player of the Week Monday, April 4th, 2022 19-year-old Robert Gibson made a few Arkansas headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Skip Bertman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 16 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Gibson collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Thus far this season Gibson is hitting .309 with 5 home runs, 18 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 97 at-bats and has played in 24 games. |
