4-Game Suspension for Yellow Jackets Williams Friday, March 11th, 2022 Georgia Tech's Bob Williams made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Razorbacks yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Williams violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 4-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Williams told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." Williams is currently hitting at a .182 pace with no home runs, 3 RBIs and has scored 2 times. |
