Gordon Gets 4-Game Suspension
Wednesday, April 14th, 2021
Andrew Gordon was suspended by the league for 4 games for "inappropriate conduct on the field," stemming from an altercation during a game with the South Mississippi Golden Eagles yesterday at Ballpark of Storm Lake College. The Washington State catcher refused to leave the field for several minutes after being ejected by the home plate umpire over a third-strike call. His manager finally convinced him to leave the field, but had to step between him and the umpire several times.
Cougars officials told the press Gordon was not available for comment after the game.
This year Gordon is hitting .296, produced 13 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 4 times and gotten on base at a .345 rate.
