Great Season For Kharoti, Wins AHL Cy Young Award Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Ijaz Kharoti performed like a veteran on the hill for the Brisbane Bush Wackers and walked away with the August Herrman League Cy Young Award in the process. The 21-year-old Bush Wackers star fashioned a 19-8 won-loss record in 2025 with a 2.53 ERA. In 195.1 innings of work and 34 starts, Kharoti struck out 206 while giving up 147 hits and 59 walks. He held opposing batters to a .205 average. Felipe Rodríguez of the Brisbane Bush Wackers finished second in voting, while Alfredo Crespo of the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws finished third. |
