Rodríguez Raps Kansas City for 5 Hits Saturday, September 27th, 2025 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Wilson Rodríguez got one today. He scattered hits all over The Whig Stadium to pace Bel Air to a 9-1 victory over Kansas City. The Kansas City skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Rodríguez hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Wilson Rodríguez hit a two-run home run off David Duarte in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far on the season Rodríguez is hitting .276 with 13 home runs, 36 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 55 hits and played in 56 games. |
