Hits Galore: Ramírez Drills 5 Hits Saturday, September 6th, 2025 It was a big day with the bat for Jorge Ramírez of the Brisbane Bush Wackers at The Whig Stadium as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Kansas City 9-5. After the game he said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today. 5 hits in 5 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story." At the end of the game Ramírez had collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a small mention in the record book. He was happy. He had a big day with the bat. And the Bush Wackers had won. Jorge Ramírez doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th. This season Ramírez has banged out 109 hits in 391 at-bats for a .279 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .394 pace and his totals also include 64 RBIs and 57 runs scored. |
