Winfield's Núñez Nabs BOL Player of the Week Monday, September 1st, 2025 Youth was served last week as 22-year-old Pete Núñez put together a remarkable stretch on the mound, outpacing all other Buck O'Neil League pitchers and hitters to win Player of the Week honors. The Winfield Warriors hurler rang up 7 strikeouts in 6 innings, compiling an ERA of 1.50 and posting a fine 3-0 mark. Núñez has gone 8-1 this season with an ERA of 2.59 and 80 strikeouts in 66 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .222 against him. |
