Free-for-All Costs Woods and Ruíz 9-Game Suspensions Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 The league commissioner's office had responded quickly to yesterday's major incident at Silvery Lane Field involving the Seals Ron Woods and the Cyclones Ángel Ruíz. Both players have been given 9-game suspensions for violation of the league code of conduct. The suspensions will be effective immediately. Looking at his season stats, Woods has compiled a .250 batting average and a .298 on-base percentage, while hitting no home runs and driving in 5 runs. To this point in the season, Ruíz shows a 5-3 record, 17 starts, 97 innings, 135 strikeouts and a 2.78 ERA. |
