Miyata Selected BOL Player of the Week Monday, August 18th, 2025 It was announced today by the Buck O'Neil League that San Angelo catcher Susumu Miyata had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. The San Angelo catcher wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .409 average (9-for-22) with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This year Miyata has socked 42 hits in 210 at-bats for a .200 average with 6 home runs. He is getting on base at a .303 pace and his totals also include 27 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
