Ikeda Records Shutout Against Blue Spaders
Sunday, August 17th, 2025
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Kansas City manager after his club suffered a 3-0 shutout at the hands of Shoichi Ikeda of the Bethesda Hornets. He held the Kansas City Blue Spaders scoreless in a 5-hit whitewash.
Ikeda was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Shoichi did a whale of a pitching job."
This season to date Ikeda has a record of 2 wins and 5 losses with a 5.28 ERA, has appeared in 11 games and struck out 57 in 59.2 innings.
