Reid Sidelined for 7 Months Tuesday, August 12th, 2025 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Kingwood Knights, River Chiefs reliever Brandon Reid was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 7 months with a ruptured disc. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Chippewa skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. To date this year, he has registered 3 saves, 2 wins and 1 loss with a 1.07 ERA. Reid has made 27 relief appearances, worked a total of 25.1 innings and surrendered 14 hits. He has fanned 47, issued 14 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .169 batting average. |
