Vickerson Takes Best Bat Trophy in July Friday, August 1st, 2025 David Vickerson put together a good July to earn the Buck O'Neil League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Coney Island officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Cyclones catcher posted a .410 batting average with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored. This year Vickerson has socked 54 hits in 172 at-bats for a .314 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .471 pace and his totals also include 29 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
