1B Kim Given 2-Game Suspension Monday, June 23rd, 2025 It got ugly on the field today in the Knights and Jedi Knights game, when Yeong-il Kim was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Kim threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate. League officials thought the Kingwood first baseman went too far and gave him a 2-game suspension. "Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Kim told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control." Kim is batting .216 with 7 home runs and 31 RBIs this season. |
