Eugene Sources Say Carpenter Gone as Manager Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 The general manager of the Eugene Emeralds today fired his manager, Ed Carpenter, citing "failure to utilize all elements of his roster properly." Speaking to reporters while cleaning out his office, Carpenter was asked to comment on that assessment. "Part of a team's success comes from the talent that is put on the field every day. It's common knowledge that the Emeralds are missing a few key components," he said. "I got the best out of the talent I was given. Maybe the wrong person was fired." |
