Sandoval Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
Thursday, June 12th, 2025
Chippewa's Víctor Sandoval accomplished what few others have been able to do -- he hit for the cycle. In baseball, a player hits for the cycle when he hits a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game, though not necessarily in that order. Collecting the hits in that order is known as a "natural cycle."

For the day he finished 4-for-5 with 1 RBI and 4 runs scored and helped his River Chiefs knock off the Nichols Gnats 8-4 at The Reservation. In the postgame press conference he said, "I didn't even know I had hit for the cycle until after the game."

Víctor Sandoval tripled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Barrett Jackson in the 5th and singled in the 8th.

Thus far this season in 58 games Sandoval is batting .328 with 6 home runs, 34 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 82 hits in 250 at-bats.
