Kennelly Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
Wednesday, June 4th, 2025
What do you get when you combine a good eye, some bat control, speed, and power? Well, if you add a little bit of luck and mix it all together, you get what John Kennelly of the Baltimore Blue Claws had today at Old Bay Park. He put together quite a performance at the plate and came away with the cycle, helping his team clip Winfield 4-3 and give the fans a memory they will never forget.

"This is the most amazing feat I've ever witnessed at a ballgame!" said a longtime Baltimore fan. "I have probably been to several hundred games in my life and I've never seen anything like it."

For the day the Blue Claws first baseman had 4 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 run batted in and 2 runs scored.

Kennelly etched his name into the record books by hitting a single, a double, a triple, and a home run, all in the same game. When asked after the game how it felt to join such an exclusive group, Kennelly replied, "It just feels great to help the team get the W."

John Kennelly doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Roger Orr in the 7th and tripled in the 9th.

Kennelly has a .238 average and a .378 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 45 hits, 4 home runs and driven in 25 runs.
