Bums Lose Castio for 11 Months Friday, May 16th, 2025 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Valerio Castio of the Bums knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Baltimore Blue Claws while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn labrum, the Palm Beach reliever is expected to miss 11 months. Castio was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." To date this year Castio has saved 0 games while tossing 10.2 innings. He has a 12.66 ERA, fanned 10 batters and made 13 relief appearances. |
