3-Game Suspension for Yoshikawa Saturday, April 26th, 2025 Shortly after yesterday's Seals-Blue Claws game ended, Toru Yoshikawa's on-field tantrum seemed almost comical. In response to being ejected for questioning a called third strike, the Beach City second baseman tossed his hat to the dirt and kicked it repeatedly. He couldn't help but laugh at himself and his over-the-top, hat-kicking, anger-laced tirade. "It was funny," Yoshikawa said. "I was hoping I could kick it all the way to the dugout." The umpiring crew, however, didn't find it funny and neither did the league. Though Yoshikawa said he did not think his actions warranted a suspension, he will miss 3 games. Yoshikawa is swinging at a .316 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 16 games. |
