Hayashi Named BOL's #1 Hurler Thursday, October 31st, 2024 The Buck O'Neil League announced today that its 2024 Cy Young Award has been given to New Orleans Jedi Knights relief specialist Noritoshi Hayashi. He had a superlative season, making 53 relief appearances and getting 8 saves. Hayashi ran up a 9-2 record and a 1.33 ERA. He totaled 101.1 innings with 190 strikeouts and 56 hits allowed. Takeji Ogawa of the New Orleans Jedi Knights finished second in voting, while Kusuma Pamungkas of the Chippewa River Chiefs finished third. |
