Pi Rips New Orleans for 5 Hits Sunday, October 13th, 2024 Yuan-zhang Pi told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Pi of the Westside Road Warriors did against the New Orleans Jedi Knights. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Jedi Knights, who suffered a 13-7 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Yuan-zhang Pi flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Garth Daniels in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Pi is currently batting .329 with 6 home runs and 34 RBIs. |
