Knights Rhodes Suffers Injury Saturday, September 28th, 2024 Jake Rhodes at first refused to leave today's Victoria-Kingwood game after he suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Kingwood starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Rhodes out of action for 4-5 months. In 16 starts this season Rhodes has compiled a 8-2 record and a 2.49 ERA. |
