Players Suspended in Americans-Eagles Donnybrook Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Austin's Shuzo Tanaka and Whitewater's Jim Unknown were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office. They both were suspended for 2 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Tanaka charged Unknown. Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation. For the season Tanaka has hit .237 with 10 home runs and 56 RBIs. He has played in 128 games and scored 59 times. |
