Winfield's Morton Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, September 23rd, 2024 Dave Morton made quite a splash in the Buck O'Neil League this past week. The Winfield Warriors second baseman drilled opposing pitchers for 8 hits in 14 at-bats to roll up a .571 batting average and the Buck O'Neil League Player of the Week Award. He also contributed 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored to his club's offensive attack. In 64 games Morton is hitting .250 this season with 33 hits, 3 home runs, 12 RBIs, 19 walks, .353 OBP and has scored 16 runs. |
