Barrow Starter Wins August's Pitcher Award Sunday, September 1st, 2024 There's something about a young rookie winning the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Millard Dixon, a 21-year-old starter for the Barrow Frosties. In August, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 0.00 ERA in 0 starts, tossed 13.2 innings, fanned 18 and held opposing teams to a .111 average. Dixon has posted a 5-0 record for the year with a 0.87 ERA. Teams are hitting .130 against him and he has rung up 26 strikeouts in 20.2 innings. |
