Coney Island First Baseman Nets BOL Award Monday, August 19th, 2024 So far in his young career, Zhi-bin Yong has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Buck O'Neil League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Coney Island Cyclones first baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 10 hits in 20 at-bats, 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. To date, Yong has collected 86 hits for a .285 average. He has posted 9 home runs, scored 51 runs and driven in 44 runs. |
