Injury Takes Toll, Ryunosuke Takahashi Out Friday, August 16th, 2024 Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Emeralds when after today's game against the Saints, the club found out they would be without the services of Ryunosuke Takahashi for at least 13-14 months. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Takahashi was injured earlier today throwing a pitch and suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. Checking out his stats for the season, Takahashi has registered 4 wins and 8 losses in 26 starts, 5.22 ERA and struck out 132 batters in 127.2 innings. |
